BISSELL Pet Foundation welcomed nearly 700 pet owners, animal enthusiasts, celebrities and sponsors at the 13th annual BISSELL Blocktail Party. The funds raised at Blocktail will support our 3700 partner shelters and rescues across the country. According to Chinese astrology, 2018 is the Year of the Dog. Playing off this insight, Blocktail offered fortune cookies, tarot card readings, and utilized red and purple in design to represent the Year of the Dog’s auspicious colors. BISSELL Pet Foundation thanks everyone who volunteered, sponsored, purchased tickets, donated auction items and supported Blocktail. You play an integral role in carrying out our mission to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues and we’re so grateful you chose Blocktail to make a difference. We hope to see you at next year’s Blocktail Party!
BISSELL was selected as a recipient of the Top Campaign Award for the 2017 campaign year by Heart of West Michigan United Way! We were selected as one of three companies (of over 300+) to receive this award. We were chosen due to our collective efforts as an organization, dedication to United Way, and impact on the community. Way to go Team BISSELL!
It is Summertime at BISSELL! We kicked things off with a Fiesta theme party including snacks, drinks, raffle prizes and a pie throwing contest! This also means the kick off to our Summer Hours Work Schedule and Casual Dress Code. Enjoy the season!

On Friday, May 11th, 2018, encouraged by perfect weather, 120 BISSELL Shenzhen and Hong Kong Associates joined together for a day of challenging team activities as they participated in their annual team building day. This year’s venue was a beautiful, secluded beach East of Shenzhen. The day was then filled with structured activities requiring team engagement, energy, skill and speed. Associates moved water, had whacky races, built oil drum rafts (and went to sea!) and made a massive BISSELL logo in the sand. A special thanks to the organizing committee and all our Associates for participating fully.
Michigan Blood recently hosted a blood drive onsite at BISSELL in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Many BISSELL Associates participated and the donations were enough to save over 35 separate lives! This is a prime example of support towards our core value of Social Responsibility. Thank you to all those who participated!
Did you hear the news? BISSELL Pet Foundation announced its next Empty the Shelters event, a free adoption day, will take place in 13 states, including Michigan, on May 5, 2018! There are 66 shelter and rescue organizations participating across the state of Michigan and nearly 10 rescue groups coming to BISSELL. Last year's Empty the Shelters events led to thousands of pets finding their forever homes, and we're excited about the impact that this year's event will have on the lives of may pets and pet families! Monday marks the beginning of Earth Week – a week-long celebration of environmental awareness and respect for our planet. The goal of Earth Week is to inspire people to live and work in an environmentally conscious manner. At BISSELL, we are proud of our commitment to creating a sustainable environment, and our many recycling and waste elimination initiatives, which support our Core Value of Social Responsibility.
It's National Puppy Day! Did you know…Bringing your pet to work can decrease your stress, and it can also increase collaboration and build trust with teams?! The BISSELL Pet Spot offers a beautiful facility for our Associates to bring their cats and dogs to work.
"The Best There Is" is an award at BISSELL that recognizes individuals or teams who accomplish exceptional goals or do extraordinary work on a project. In February, we recognized Alex Usach Nogues as The Best There Is! Alex played a key role in a multi-national advertising campaign - coordinating and collaborating with BISSELL colleagues, our media agencies and others all over the world to make sure that tasks were completed quickly and accurately. Alex’s initiative clearly demonstrates our Core Value of Consumer and Customer Dedication. As a result, we were able to execute a campaign to drive CrossWave sales globally. Great work, Alex!
