  • Honor Flight takes veterans of the WWII, Korean Era, and Vietnam Era wars to see their national memorials in Washington, DC. It was an honor to welcome Dayton-area veterans back home after their latest trip to our nation’s capital. #HonorFlight #neverforget

  • Congratulations to our President and CEO, Erhardt Preitauer! He was named the 2018 Joy Wheeler Leadership Award winner by the Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA). This award honors exceptional service and leadership to MHPA. We are proud of his dedication to the populations we serve.

  • Way to go Erhardt! Our President and CEO went “Over the Edge” to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley. He raised a lot of $$ for this great organization and #teamCareSource was proud to cheer him on.

    CareSource: Member opioid use down 40 percent in 18 months

    The largest Medicaid plan in Ohio reported its members are using 40 percent fewer opioids in the last 18 months. Dayton-based CareSource, which privately manages 1.8 million Medicaid plans, said in a release that by the end of this year CareSource will cut that amount by 50 percent.

  • The reality is that not everyone can afford school supplies. But we were able to relieve some of that stress for families in Marion County, Indiana this past weekend by providing 500 backpacks stuffed with school supplies. Smiles all around as we set these amazing kids up for success for the new school year.

    Hundreds of Hoosier children receive free backpacks for start of school

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Hundreds of Hoosier children have new backpacks for the start of school thanks to a nonprofit. CareSource, a nonprofit health plan, hosted a free Back to School Family Day Saturday morning at the Marion County Public Library. It provided funding and 500 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to kids about to go back to class.

    CareSource to expand into veterans health care

    CareSource is planning to expand into veterans health care through a new business deal. The Dayton-based insurer announced today that it was chosen by Amvets, a national veterans organization, to develop a privately managed health insurance plan for veterans seeking health care outside the VA system.
