I have been working at CareSource full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Beautiful buildings and paid parking. Healthy food options and workout facilities. Many long term employees throughout the company. Some of the best leaders I have ever worked with. This organization remains totally committed to the mission of serving our members. Working from home is the best!

    Cons

Pace is too fast which is the rule not the exception. Can be very hard to keep up! HR business partners are helpful as are upper management staff but everyone is so busy!

    Advice to Management

Don’t be discouraged by poor reviews! The good employees are not complaining anonymously on social media. We are enjoying our bonus and great benefits and the pride of what our CEO and our company has done for the city of Dayton and our members.

I have been working at CareSource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The leadership lives and breathes the mission of this organization. Hierarchy is less important than engagement and connection. Our leaders are consistently plugged into their teams to ensure everyone has the tools needed to carry out the mission. This is more than just doing a job each day.

    Cons

Some growing pains with the rapid expansion in recent years but we have stayed on track and continue to improve quality and satisfaction of both our customers and employees. That commitment is very apparent.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. It works!

I have been working at CareSource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Other companies may say that "the mission" is why do they do what they do, but I have never seen a place that actually means it the way CareSource does.

    Cons

We are working to overcome some growing pains, but that's not a bad thing.

I have been working at CareSource full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Having been with CareSource for almost a year now, I have seen CareSource acting on its mission and vision for the company. Helping improve the health and lives of the members served by CareSource is at the forefront of every business decision. The staff really feels more like a united team and appreciates contributions made by every employee and at every level of the organization. CareSource offers many options for professional advancement; both in company training opportunities as well as employee benefits e.g. leadership workshops, mentor sessions, leadership coaches, and tuition reimbursement. It's evident in the actions of the staff that executive leadership takes employee satisfaction seriously and makes it a priority.

    Cons

The relationship between individual states and the corporate office can pose a challenge due to the geographic distance but this is overcome by the number of options for communication and the utilization of Skype meetings.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you're doing. It's exciting to be a part of the company growth.

I have been working at CareSource full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coming from many years in a hospital setting where employees can feel as though we are drowning in the politics of medicine, it has been a pleasure to work for a company that continuously encourages me to do what is best for our members. I have felt respected and trusted as a professional since my first date of hire. I have been provided all of the tools I need to be successful and encouraged to seek advancement if desired. This company is expanding at a rapid rate which always tends to lead to more opportunities. Pay is above average with generous raises based upon performance. Work-life balance can't be beat.

    Cons

Working from home certainly has more pros than cons, but can sometimes lead to feeling disconnected from the rest of the company.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more in person team building events.

    Pros

CareSource is without a doubt the best place I have ever worked. The employees truly embrace our mission everyday and go above and beyond for the members we serve. It is a caring and supportive culture. I feel encouraged by Senior Management and have developed new skills and grown in position while working here. If you are looking for an employer that is honest and fair and truly values their employees, then CareSource is the place for you.

    Cons

As a result of rapid growth, we have experienced operational issues, however Senior Management is committed to addressing the issues and fixing them.
