For the third year, we will be providing our people an extended holiday in our U.S. offices during the week of Thanksgiving as part of our CohnReznick Takes Time Together initiative! By taking this break together to truly disconnect, we hope everyone can recharge and focus on spending time with their loved ones.
Our incoming class of 225 new tax and assurance associates met at the Q Center in St. Charles, Illinois to participate in the first-ever CR Journey training program. Over two weeks, new associates were introduced to the firm through presentations by key leaders and given service-specific technical training to help them step into their new roles. The event also served as a networking opportunity, joining team members from different geographies and backgrounds. A wonderful time was had by all!
CohnReznick is adding a new benefit to our Total Rewards program this January - the Wellness Reimbursement Account! At the beginning of the calendar year, U.S.-based, active, benefits eligible employees will be granted $600 annually which can be used on reimbursable eligible expenses at any time throughout the year. Examples of eligible expenses include gym/fitness center membership dues, exercise/wellness classes, personal trainer costs, Yoga, Pilates, swim club memberships, organized sports registration fees, golf fees, etc.; exercise equipment: Pelotons, recumbent bikes, treadmills, hand weights, under desk cycles, jump ropes, sports equipment, roller blades, tennis shoes, etc.; other: Fit Bits/health tracking devices, blood pressure cuffs, heart rate monitors, sleep monitors, massages, acupuncture, weight management programs, etc.

We're taking root in the Rocky Mountain region with our new Denver office! We've leased 5,000 square feet in the LEED Gold Certified and Energy Star certified building, which features outstanding city views, a fitness center, a tenant amenity center, and easy access to mass transit and the freeways. The Denver office, CohnReznick’s 30th office in the U.S., will officially open in early October and is part of a continuing growth strategy for the firm that focuses on locations with dynamic business communities, expanding populations, and a diverse, highly skilled labor force. The office will be home to a team with robust experience in the broad array of industries that comprise the Denver market, including real estate (commercial, affordable), financial services, and hospitality.

More than 70 emerging leaders recently convened in Baltimore to collaborate and discuss ways to improve all aspects of our Affordable Housing practice. The program included many opportunities for networking and for participation in group discussions about enhancing efficiencies and standardization across the practice. At the end of the program, attendees left with a renewed vision for driving the practice’s growth and excitement about the additional development opportunities to come. What a great event!
Our Focused Fridays program is currently underway! From July until September, our people are encouraged to identify opportunities to to prioritize dedicated focus time. For example, they may dedicate time to a learning and development course or to a particularly complex project that requires reflection and uninterrupted focus time. Plus, reduced meetings can make it easier for our people to use PTO (Paid Time Off) to enjoy extended weekends. #LifeAtCohnReznick
