At Crowley, we're proud of our mariners and believe in empowering them by fostering open dialogue and collaboration across all levels of our organization. Our recent Mariner Conference brought together officers, our Senior Leadership Team and shoreside employees to share expertise, receive training and discuss the maritime industry's future. Plus, it included an expo hall with shoreside support resources like benefits, payroll and others, allowing mariners to get more insights from our corporate teams.

It was a privilege to welcome the crews of the USNS GySgt. Fred W. Stockham and 1st LT Baldomero Lopez ships back to Blount Island Command, alongside our partners at the Military Sealift Command, American Maritime Officers and Seafarers International Union of North America. Our merchant mariners play a vital role in defense and security worldwide, and this deployment was no exception. The mariners supported the U.S. military's humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations in the Middle East, ensuring the successful transport of essential equipment, supplies and personnel. At Crowley, we are proud to operate and maintain six Maritime Prepositioning Force vessels for the Military Sealift Command, continuing our commitment to ensure mission readiness and rapid deployment. A heartfelt thank you to our mariners for their unwavering dedication and service to our military and people in need.
To empower our culture that drives success, we encourage engagement and open dialogue for all people. Crowley’s business resource group recently hosted a networking activity where El Salvador employees came together to exchange ideas on elevating women’s perspectives across all our company.
In a fast-moving, interconnected world, high-speed internet is one of the catalysts Crowley leverages to push the maritime industry forward. As part of our fleet enhancements to increase internet access for mariners, our technology professionals have leveraged their technical and collaboration skills to deliver bigger real-world results in the maritime industry and their careers. By integrating Starlink, our information technology team at Crowley executed a technology system installation to improve connectivity at a scale leading the industry.
Fueling operations at home and abroad: We recently delivered 25 million gallons of diesel and jet fuel to our U.S. Navy partners via the Crowley-managed Stena Polaris. The 18 Underway Replenishment (UNREP) operations allowed Navy vessels to operate with greater agility and range, all without slowing down their missions.
With Chairman and CEO Thomas Crowley and Crowley Wind Services Holdings President and CEO Bob Karl, we welcomed Governor Maura Healey, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo to break ground on the Salem Offshore Wind Terminal. This is a significant infrastructure investment in the sustainable energy capabilities of Massachusetts that will boost the local economy, create union jobs and transform the offshore wind capabilities of New England.
Our logistics team continues to put the customer at the center of what we do--and have been recognized for it twice recently. We are excited to share that our ocean liner services placed second overall in Logistic Management magazine’s 40th Annual Quest for Quality Awards, where we were rated by supply chain decision makers for on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations. Additionally, we were selected as a 2024 Top 100 3PL Provider by the editors at Inbound Logistics magazine for our ability to navigate complex supply chain challenges with a demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, operational excellence and innovation. Carry the World. Forward.
We're excited to share the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council awarded Crowley the Platinum Award for our wellness program. It also showcases the dedication and support of our leaders in developing a culture of health and wellness in the United States and Central America. We thank our Total Rewards team for leading our wellness initiatives, and our employees’ engagement with making the most out of all the well-being resources we make available for them.
Proud to support the U.S. government's global training missions! Our team successfully moved 100+ units of heavy breakbulk cargo aboard one of our barges from Jacksonville to Puerto Rico. Our combination of cargo handling expertise and a fleet of owned vessels allow extra capabilities to ensure these vital resources reached their destinations.
