32 Teachers Will Soon be STEM Experts The Dow Chemical Company has partnered with the Smithsonian Science Education Cetner to further teacher education and preparedness in the STEM fields. Advancing a Circular Economy: Pilot Program Shows Plastic Waste Can Be Turned Into Fuel – As part of the Company’s exploration of plastic waste alternatives, Dow became a key collaborator in the Energy Bag Pilot Program, demonstrating that certain plastics that are not easily recyclable using traditional methods can be converted into synthetic crude oil for fuel – diverting them from a landfill. DW&PS and its communications partner, G&S Business Communications, were recognized for the 2014 “World Water Day: Dow Energizes the Dialogue” communications program. This integrated campaign from DW&PS and Dow Enterprise Media Relations was recognized as the best Energy and Natural Resources campaign in North America last year.
