Through our #GiveForGood program, we do our part in giving back to the community and offering our employees ample opportunities to do the same. #NationalNonProfitDay We launched our Holidays in July series where each week we provided a different way to be philanthropic. We are humbled to work with many amazing non-profit organizations throughout the year to help make an impact.
We’re excited to welcome Mercy Manhanga to the DriveTime family as the Assistant Director, Data Analytics! Mercy will be responsible for building and maintaining decision logic engines for originations to manage risk intake and ensure profitability. She will do this through driving advanced quantitative analysis techniques to accomplish DriveTime’s strategic initiatives. #Welcome #LifeAtDrivetime “I was attracted to the role from everything listed in the job description, including the fun humor of ‘this is not a hold your hand kind of role’, to the actual responsibilities outlined and the growth potential. The culture peaked my interest after my interactions with the recruiting team and the future teammates; this gave me a sneak peek into the culture. I felt like the recruiting team really wanted me to win. Lastly, the brand was attractive. I saw a so many DriveTime commercials, that I felt like I was part of the family already. My life outside of work revolves around brunches and yoga classes.”
It's hard to believe that another class of #interns has officially graduated from our #InternshipProgram. These interns certainly made a difference in our lives and we hope to have made one in theirs. #Congratulations to our 40 incredible interns for completing our summer program! Today marks the beginning of a new lunar Hijri Year, or the #IslamicNewYear. Unlike other New Year’s traditions, those who celebrate #HijriNewYear tend to do so quietly with religious activities. It is a time for Muslims to reflect on the passing time and their own mortality.
We’re taking time to recognize today as International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples as a means to raise awareness and protect the rights of the world’s indigenous population. Indigenous peoples can be referred to as the ethnic groups who are native to a place that has been colonized and settled by another ethnic group. David will be responsible for leading and optimizing the software engineering teams across our brand family. I was excited by the software that I was going to have access to and the impact I would be able to make within this organization. I also had a prior colleague who spoke very highly of DriveTime. Outside of work I really enjoy yoga. I have taught yoga at my prior company and would love to get involved in the wellness space here as well.”
We're kicking off #NationalBackToSchool month with a coloring contest for #NationalColoringBookDay! We love getting our DriveTime kiddos involved so we provided our parents with company branded coloring pages that they could download and print for their children to turn into an art masterpiece. “Coffee tastes better with a friend”. We don’t disagree. This year for #InternationalFriendshipDay we offered our employees the chance to sign up and connect with people across our brand family in the hopes that they would make new friendships. Those who signed up were also sent a Starbucks gift card so they could enjoy a sip and a smile during their coffee chat. Happy International Friendship Day! #LifeatDrivetime
As part of our #GiveForGood community outreach program, we find ways to support the future of education in the hopes that every child and every teacher is set up for success with quality supplies and resources. We challenged our teams across 26 states to fill backpacks full of school supplies to support children who may not have these resources, prepare to go back to school. Thank you to everyone who participated in this opportunity to #giveback as we honor #NationalSupportPublicEducationDay.
