Last year, GetInsured’s Business Intelligence team launched an Intern pilot program—which proved to be a success! By tapping into emerging talent from universities, we had an opportunity to offer real world analytics experience to a capable and driven student. Our first intern in the program graduated at the end of 2022 and became a full-time GetInsured employee in 2023! As we continue to expand into new markets, the BI Reporting team plans to develop a similar internship program for the Fall ’23 or Spring ’24 semesters.

C!A will join GetInsured as part of the Vimo family of SaaS solutions.
Ted Tobiason joined GetInsured in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Ted spent 23 years as a technology investment banker focusing mostly on IPOs as well as convertible debt and private placements. His clients included Uber, Airbnb, SoFi, Cruise Automation, Twitter, Alibaba, Tesla, and Lucid Motors. Ted most recently was CFO at Lime, which operated scooters, e-bikes and shared cars in more than 100 cities and 32 countries.
May is Mental Health Awareness month. During this unprecedented time, many are dealing with feelings of anxiety, isolation and depression. In fact, 55% of respondents in a survey by the Benenson Strategy Group said the coronavirus has affected their mental health. The Affordable Care Act provides one of the largest expansions of mental health and substance use disorder coverage. All plans offered through Healthcare.gov or your state's exchange cover mental health and substance use disorder services. If you need help with depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues caused by the pandemic, or any other reason, reach out to your insurance company to see which providers are in your network. And if you've lost coverage, check with your state's health insurance exchange to enroll in a plan and get the help you need.
Get to know Michael Daugherty, head of GetInsured’s Contact Center Operations. The call center provides enrollment and customer assistance to our retail, partner, independent broker, and public market segments. He brings more than 30 years of practical insurance experience, providing oversight for insurance compliance including licensing, appointments, and call quality. A member of the Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals, he is licensed in all 50 states and works with a compliance team to ensure GetInsured adapts to a fast-changing regulatory environment.
