Today we announced that we will adopt 100% renewable energy at our plants across Europe and Turkey in the first of a multiple-phase plan to procure 100% renewable energy in all of our facilities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa by the end of 2022. This step is part of our commitment to reduce our carbon footprint by taking the necessary measures to reduce Goodyear's environmental impacts, vitally important to ensure a better future for us all.

Thank you to #TeamGoodyear in San Luis Potosi, who visited “Juan Alvarez,” home to more than 200 children, located on a local community with limited resources in Villa de Reyes, SLP. As part of Goodyear’s Global Week of Volunteering, this team provided the material to restore the school and help with painting, playgrounds, cleaning, furniture and landscaping. This group’s efforts will continue during the year 2021, following all COVID-19 safety protocols.

Goodyear's Global Week of Volunteering is in full swing! During this annual event, Goodyear associates from around the globe come together to volunteer with local non-profit organizations. Each of these organizations help create a better future for our community and we all look forward to supporting them.
In an industry first, Goodyear has developed a non-pneumatic (airless) tire (NPT) and wheel assembly to support autonomous vehicle transportation in a city setting for in-field use with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA). Non-pneumatic tires (NPTs) support a vehicle's weight by using a spoke or web design as opposed to the pressurized air found in conventional automotive tires, making it an interesting architecture for potential future mobility.
