Maps are a powerful resource. In fact, they’re especially important in building out accessibility for the differently-abled. Last Thursday, over 40 volunteers from Grab and Microsoft joined hands to embark on a pilot mapathon initiative for Singapore with SG Enable. The street-to-map exercise sought to enhance the quality of maps in the Redhill area and better serve the needs of these differently-abled Singaporeans. Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of partnering with People's Association to run the first ever, Grab-A-Ride Workshop for a batch of over 20 enthusiastic seniors from Teck Ghee, Clementi, and Tampines Changkat Community Clubs (Singapore). They were taught how to gain access to the various Grab services available for greater comfort and convenience (not to mention becoming more familiar with digital apps).
