We were delighted to host Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Transport and Communications and Information, as well as teams from the Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Authority on a recent visit to the Grab R&D centre at Marina One. As a commitment to give back to the society, Jerry Lim, Grab's Country Head (Vietnam), joined our staff recently to visit SOS Children's Village and Go Vap Child Care Center. Grab representatives donated computers for them to learn Informatics and 200 million VND to buy medicine, repair facilities and play area. This Tuesday evening, Grab hosted the Lit: Learning Journey to Grab, co-organised by NTUC and SkillsFuture, for more than 140 young working professionals and university students. We were especially excited by the huge turnout! The evening's opening speech was made by Director of NTUC's Youth Development Unit, Desmond Choo, who then presented a token of appreciation to Grab’s Head of People, Ong Chin Yin. During the sharing session, Ong Chin Yin talked about Grab’s history, diversification of services for our customers and how we attract and retain global talents. Engineering Lead for Dax Mobile, Arunsingh Victor, and Country Product Manager, Nadia Goei, also shared with the youths their fulfilling career journey and the incredible things engineers and product managers do at Grab. The participants also had the opportunity to ask our speakers questions and network with our friendly Grabbers.
