We recently completed a major web server farm migration from Amazon EC2 to a new Kubernetes cluster in order to better manage the growing number of services and growth in traffic volume to Houzz. The migration led to up to 30% improvement in our top page latencies and roughly 33% reduction in compute resources, but it wasn't without its challenges.
