Happy Pride Month! This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Pride at ITW, an employee resource group focused on empowering LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies through building a sense of belonging and engagement while promoting shared respect and understanding of LGBTQ+ issues. In 2021, Pride at ITW hosted several events with Center on Halsted , a Chicago-based community center dedicated to the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people in the region, and were also a signature sponsor of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago Run & Walk. The partnerships with these organizations are just a glimpse into the tangible impact Pride at ITW is making, not only across ITW, but also in the global LGBTQ+ community. This year, we’re excited for Pride at ITW’s first global conference. ITW is proud to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, an annual recognition of the historical and cultural contributions – past, present, and future – of people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States. This month, we are excited to launch a new employee resource group, the Asian Professionals Engagement Network (APEN). APEN members and allies aspire to advance ITW’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by developing a platform to foster a sense of belonging and pride, as well as provide education and leadership training at ITW for those who identify as Asian, Native Hawaiian, and/or other Pacific Islander. #ITWTogether #ProudToBeITW #AAPI
