We had a blast at the Pittsburgh Pride Festival & Parade earlier this month! Our HR staff handed out InVision swag at our booth all day and said everyone loved and wanted our rainbow wristbands! #Equality #Inclusion #Pride #PittsburghPride #PrideFest #PrideFestival
Thanks to everyone who hosted this event and for those who stopped in to support Sheryl by buying a copy of her book or just to say hello! She sold and signed about 30 copies, which made her very happy. Way to go Sheryl! "Emma Goes to the Doctor," which is loosely based on Sheryl's own experiences, follows Emma as she navigates the difficulties faced by people with autism and other disabilities when they need medical care. This book signing was made possible thanks to generous donors providing a Personal Enrichment Grant facilitated by InVision Foundation.
We're just a few months late... but we had a blast at our annual holiday parties for both Pennsylvania regions! We had dancing, wacky sweater contests, good food, and fun times!
Congratulations to DSP Julie Lasher for completing Level Two of the NADSP Certification Program! Julie had some inspiring words about the program and the profession in general: "The NADSP courses have been very educational for me, and I feel honored to work for a company who not only cares for the people we support but for DSPs as well to further our training and education in this field. For me, it has been not only a learning experience but a continuous refresher on some important training I have taken in the past. It has also ignited a more positive outlook for me for my work here at Invision. I feel that over time DSPs can experience burn out to a degree especially post COVID, and these trainings have reignited my feeling of wanting to go above and beyond my best when possible. I feel like I am more knowledgeable in serving the person I support, and I appreciate working for a company that wants us to be our best. I look forward to moving on to Level Three!" Congrats and well done, Julie!
Kim started with us as a Behavior Specialist Consultant in 1998 and has now risen all the way to CEO! Congratulations! We can't wait to see where her leadership takes us!
Help us congratulate Deandre Penn! He is our 13th level three graduate of the NADSP Career Development Program! That means he has completed over 150 hours of additional education to support the quality, values, and knowledge of a direct support professional.
