Diversity in advertising has never been more front and center than now, and it will only grow in importance. Marketsmith’s Senior Vice President, Digital Strategist, Luis Hernandez, will be speaking on this subject as a panel member at the Exchanging Perspectives: A Conversation on Diversity in Advertising Today forum by The Exchange Lab. The event will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-9PM at SubCulture, located at 45 Bleecker Street, NYC. The event is free, the information will be valuable. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMnP4
The Marketsmith team is thrilled to announce that our very own Larry Durst, SVP, Executive Creative Director, has been elected into the NJ Advertising Club Hall of Fame, class of 2018. It’s a well-deserved recognition for a wonderful career—a career that shows no signs of slowing down (thankfully for us). Happy that others will now know what we have always known—Larry is not only a great talent, but one of the nicest people you will ever work with. We also send our congratulations to the other four inductees as well. Well done!!!!
This past Saturday the Marketsmith team was in Manhattan to support the Lovesac NYC Grand Opening in the Flatiron District. The team put together a well-integrated plan of social, TV, OOH, radio and event. We had a Z100 Home Page takeover, on-site event as well as an unmissable bus wrap. We had a great time with our clients--Lovesac Founder/CEO, Shawn Nelson, and Marketing Manager, Michael Majlak. Successful day, highly successful relationship. We're thrilled to partner with them.
Innovation is the lifeblood of business. And this piece of digital video content we developed with our Brother International Corporation client for their new INKvestment TANK printer is a wonderful example of that. Fantastic idea for small business. We can’t wait to work with them on the next one. Great client, great brand, great teamwork.
This past Sunday marked Women’s Equality Day, which celebrates the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote. While we have come a long way since 1920, we still have a lot of work to do. As a woman-owned company, we are committed to leveling the playing field. And we thank those brave women who came before us who fought so hard for the rights we enjoy today. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQMSY
We wanted to share this story from ROI-NJ about this extraordinary young man, Jordan Thomas, of Newark, NJ. Jordan is the very first student from the Newark Public Schools system to earn a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship. As a graduate of Princeton University, class of 2018, Jordan is a wonderful role model for all of the children in Newark and other disadvantaged areas. Stories like this are why Marketsmith supports the Camden Street Elementary School in Newark—to give those kids a better chance at learning and following in Jordan’s footsteps. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQMSv
Today marks the 1st anniversary of when the website for http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQMSC went live. We just want to thank everyone on our team, our sources and advertisers ... and, most importantly, our readers. We can't wait for Year 2, and hope you can't, either!
We are honored to be recognized by New Jersey Monthly Magazine with a 2018 Great Oak Award this year for our charitable work in the state, and we applaud our fellow recipients for helping make a difference to those who need assistance. We also thank Berkeley College for their generous sponsorship of this award. It’s important for us to say, however, that while we are flattered, we don’t do what we do for the acclaim, we do it because we love our state and it is simply the right thing to do.
Last week we got to meet the newest, cutest addition to our Marketsmith, Inc. family. This week we welcomed back her Mom, Melissa, after her maternity leave. We’re glad to have her back and happy to fully support all of our working Moms here at Marketsmith. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQQbM
We at Marketsmith, Inc. were delighted that Mark Hurwitz of Hummel Integrated Marketing Solutions could join us for our recent event featuring inspirational speaker and friend, Billy Keenan. In fact, he was so moved by what Billy had to say that he spoke about it recently at the NJ Ad Club. Here’s Mark meeting with our own Gina Geary to talk about how our businesses can help one another thrive in NJ and stay Jersey Strong. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQQFH
