U.S. News & World Report recognized MemorialCare's Long Beach Medical Center, Orange Coast Medical Center, and Saddleback Medical Center 44 times as a Best U.S. Hospital and/or High Performing in 23 clinical categories. To determine rankings, U.S. News evaluated 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions. Only 12% of those earned a Best Hospitals ranking, with Long Beach Medical Center being recognized as a Best Hospital for Orthopedics and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Each MemorialCare adult hospital also received numerous High Performance rankings for specific procedures and conditions, such as cancer, congestive heart failure, joint replacement and more.
