Our Women @ Momentive group officially kicked off summer at the Sistersville, WV plant! In June 2021, W@M Sistersville partnered with their site volunteer committee to organize a Cupcakes and Conversations event inviting employees to stop by, engage in a brainstorming session around making meaningful change, and enjoy some sweet treats. The Women @ Momentive initiative is a global network of Momentive employees committed to empowering women to achieve success on their terms. W@M continues to grow and support company-wide sustainability efforts by providing inclusive opportunities for our employees to connect, develop, and support each other. Momentive’s Technology Research Fellow, George Policello, has been awarded the Westchester Chemical Society's 2020 Distinguished Scientist for the Contributions to the Development of Trisiloxane Alkoxylates in Agriculture. Congratulations to George Policello on this achievement! George Policello is a Technology Research Fellow with Momentive Performance Materials, in Tarrytown, NY. His primary responsibilities include the direction of new product development and platform technology research programs focused on agricultural applications that enable decreased agricultural spray volumes, reduced active ingredient dosage, and improved spray control and efficiency.
In preparation for the 51st Earth Day, our Talent Acquisition team connected with the earth through planting. Being a global team, some of us are getting set for the growing season and others are adding to their already established gardens. We used this team activity to reflect on the importance of sustainability at Momentive and in our personal choices.
