Thursday, November 12, 2020, Momentive celebrated World Quality Day, a day to recognize the role we all play in creating value for our customers by innovating and improving products, services, and processes. Here are how a few of our sites celebrated the day: Chennai, India held an event to inaugurate the Quality Park, a permanent display highlighting quality achievement, events, and quality culture moments. Ohta, Japan is celebrating with Quality Month badges, distribution of a newly created Customer Application Handbook, and contests around Continuous Improvement and Customer Love activities. Itatiba, Brazil hosted a presentation with a hardcoat customer for all employees. Sistersville, WV, USA held a Sidewalk Quality event providing a small gift as a reminder of how each employee provides value to their customers. Despite a global pandemic, our continued commitment to deliver for our customers is unyielding. World Quality Day is a great reminder of that.
Sustainability Starts at the Top A Message from our President & CEO, Sam Conzone "Here at Momentive, we’re proud of our high-performance silicones and specialties products, many of which help our customers address challenges more sustainably, in industries ranging from automotive to beauty and personal care, agriculture, construction, and advanced consumer products. Last year, we integrated sustainability into our strategic planning process to raise awareness of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. With our 2019 Sustainability report, we shifted to align with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. Our focus on Sustainability will be integral to achievement of Vision 2025 and therefore we must be goal-oriented and will deliberately incorporate our progress into our key operational rhythms. We will set goals around energy consumption, low carbon/renewable energy use, waste, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Enabling sustainability is not only the right thing for our business financially, but it is also the right thing to do for our planet.
