NetJets recently hosted an exceptional experience for students during Careers in Aviation Day at our West Palm Beach, FL FBO. To kick off the day, Palm Beach International (PBI) Airport Director Laura Beebe and Palm Beach County Mayor Mack Bernard welcomed 40 students from Palm Beach Lakes Highschool and Boynton Beach Aeronautical School. Students rotated through six, 20-minute career presentations that discussed: Line maintenance and service The experience of becoming an A&P technician Roles needed to run an effective FBO The skills needed to welcome and host NetJets Owners What it’s like to fly for NetJets How the government manages ever-growing airport traffic Aircraft detailing and specialty Service Hub Cabin Prep service Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s drone program School volunteers, community leaders and even Owners passing through the FBO expressed appreciation for NetJets’ involvement to support the community. By the end the day, students gained a new perspective on career opportunities as we offered a glimpse into airport and aviation operations. #OnlyNetJets
NetJets Employees from Training and Standards, Safety, Compliance, and Talent Acquisition recently hosted 26 students from The Ohio State University’s Alpha Eta Rho chapter. The students experienced a Q&A panel and got a sneak peek into the aviation business. Alpha Eta Rho is the oldest professional aviation co-ed fraternity, recognized nationally by students sharing a common interest in all forms of aviation. Students involved in the organization are often working to become pilots, dispatchers, or get involved in aviation management.
