Last week, a few of our very own traveled out west for the International Women in Aviation Conference. The conference was held in Long Beach, CA with more than 4,300 attendees. The three-day event focuses on career goals, networking, and aviation interests specifically for women.
This holiday season, NetJets team members partnered with Franklin County Children Services and made some holiday wishes come true by delivering over 1,000 gifts to 500 well deserving children. NetJets also made a $5,000 cash donation to F.C.C.S. Happy Holidays!
Inaugural NetJets Fly In Last week, we welcomed dozens of crewmembers and their families to our first-ever NetJets Fly In. Nearly 42 employees (including crewmembers, owner service reps, maintenance, and schedulers) flew in with their own aircraft. The intent of this event was to allow pilots who own their own planes to fly them in, check out the Columbus Headquarters, and enjoy breakfast. We had a wide range of aircraft – biplanes, helicopters, and an Extra 330 that won Best in Show! Thanks to Cessna/Textron for flying in a brand-new Baron to show off to our teams…with a price tag of $1.4 million! In addition, Garmin caught a ride down with Cessna/Textron to provide a kiosk display of their new avionics line. #OnlyNetJets
This week marks the 20th anniversary since NetJets was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffett became an Owner in 1995 and was so impressed with the business model that he purchased the company 3 years later. Safety and service are inherent in our culture and as Warren Buffett once said, “Spend whatever it takes to be the safest and most secure. Then, spend whatever it takes to stay that way.”
June was Wellness Month at NetJets! We held several fun and informative programs that included cardio fitness classes, Fresh Fruit Fridays, a farmers market, team member step challenge and a Red Cross blood drive. #OnlyNetJets
