To commemorate Black History Month, we are proud to have one of our very own Dara Richardson-Heron, M.D. Chief Patient Officer at Pfizer recognized as an Elite 100 from Diversity Woman – a tribute to extraordinary Black women changing the face of corporate America. She’s also been recognized by OUTFRONT Media USA as a Black woman making history in real time! Dara leads Pfizer's work to advance patient-focused programs and platforms, with the goal of better responding to patients’ and communities’ needs and reducing health disparities. Today we celebrate a real-time history maker. Dara, you are a true trail-blazing leader in science, thank you.

Today, as part of our women in STEM series, we talk with Linda Gustavson and celebrate her career for International Day of Women and Girls in Science. "Hi, 👋 my role at Pfizer is Category Leader for Oncology in Global Regulatory Affairs. I lead a group of talented and dedicated regulatory scientists focused on developing breakthrough medicines for the treatment of patients with cancer. 🔬 As a little girl I was really drawn to science. My father was an electrical engineer and he gave me Einstein’s theory of Relativity to read when I was in 4th grade. The most exciting aspect of science for me is that our understanding of science is always growing, it's a constant learning opportunity. When I began my career in Oncology, we were treating cancer patients with chemotherapy which attacks rapidly dividing cells like cancer cells but also causes harm to normal cells which can make the patients feel very sick. Today, we have much more targeted approaches, that selectively bind and inhibit cancer’s mutated proteins."
Last week, Albert Bourla shared his family's story publicly for the first time to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Listen to Albert's inspiring words in connection with the Holocaust, as he remembers his family’s experiences and the impact it had on his life.
The entire global scientific community is working together using science and when science wins. We all win. 🙌 Thanks to our Pfizer colleagues for supporting #ScienceWillWin 💙

Our colleagues have spoken and we are proud to be ranked 39 in Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in 2021. We asked Payal Sahni Becher, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, what this award means to her? "Being included in this list is particularly meaningful because it is ranked on direct, unsolicited colleague feedback. At Pfizer, we pride ourselves on our patient-centric purpose and being a place where colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives want to work and can be seen, heard, and cared for."
