📆 Throughout Women’s History Month, our Women’s Initiative (WIN) employee resource group coordinated a number of inspiring events to embrace #equity and celebrate women who tell our stories across our global offices. 🌎 In New York, our team held an interactive event at the UBS Arena Events Office, where employees shared stories of women at #PitchBook or in their personal life who impacted them. 🌎 In San Francisco, our WIN team celebrated with an offsite happy hour where the group learned about famous women in history and discussed being a woman in the workplace. 🌍 In London, we welcomed leaders from the Morningstar family to share their experiences about being women in #leadership. Panel discussion highlights included knowing your worth and playing to your strengths, the importance of having allies to champion your career and owning your narrative. 🌎 In Seattle, we hosted a dynamic panel of women #leaders in traditionally male-dominated workplaces including sports, technology and wealth management.

Throughout Black History Month, our Black, Caribbean, and African American ‘Black Panthers’ employee resource group hosted several events across our US offices: 🔸 February kicked off with a discussion on intersectionality in collaboration with PitchBook’s ‘Women’s Initiative’ (WIN) group. 🔸 Employees in New York connected over a weekend for a photography lesson with the Bearded Dapper Gents (https://lnkd.in/gD2P2JQz) in NYC’s historic Seneca Village and volunteered at a local nonprofit packing meals for communities in need. 🔸 Our team in San Francisco visited the Angela Davis ‘Seize the Time’ exhibit at the Oakland Museum of California. We wrapped up the month with an inspiring panel discussion led by PitchBook team members on ‘The Path Forward’ and a happy hour to share thoughts after. Huge thanks to PitchBook’s Black Panthers for organizing these events to honor Black History Month. At PitchBook, our first core value is ‘Customers are King’ and we believe the communities we live and work in deserve the same treatment. We celebrated our first Global Day of Caring where over 400 employees participated by taking the day to volunteer with 15 non-profit organizations. Employees in London tended to animals and gardens at a local farm, New Yorkers built financial literacy kits for Boys & Girls Club, San Francisco cleaned up a beach and volunteers got their hands dirty at P-Patches throughout Seattle. PitchBook also raised over $22,000 for these organizations and an additional donation of $15,000 from our employee resource group, PBCares.
It all started with seven people working in a 200-square-foot, windowless office. Founder John Gabbert pursued an idea his former employer nixed—a database that covered private equity. Fifteen years later, PitchBook is now a global company with close to 2,000 employees and rapidly growing. On our 15th anniversary, we celebrated each other and came together to listen to John Gabbert and our COO, Rod Diefendorf. We reminisced on all the memories we had made and got excited for what the next fifteen years will hold. Happy 15th Anniversary, PitchBook! Here is too many more years.
