An inspiring afternoon! Yesterday, as part of our internal commemoration of Black History Month, speaker Anthony McLean shared his insight on and personal experience with systemic racism. Anthony also moderated a panel discussion with our employees titled “What Anti-Racism Means to Me” that dove deeper into the societal barriers faced by people of color. Many thanks to our amazing team members for being open, vulnerable, and sharing their stories.
We kicked off Black History Month this week with a powerful performance by the literary performer and educator Regie Gibson. Regie joined us to perform his moving work, “Of Poems and Prejudice”. His presentation was enlightening and inspirational.

As we go through this month and reflect, we want to honor figures from Black history who brought about important change. With so many significant social justice and civil rights issues persisting through today, it’s so important that we not only reflect on these accomplishments but also continue to take action and strive for greater racial justice.
