We have been named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list! That’s all thanks to the bold thinking, fresh ideas and nonstop drive our team brings every day. When the global economy shifts, we move faster. When the supply chain is tested, we scale smarter. And when our customers need an edge, we build it — with a 1.3 billion-square-foot platform that generates on-site solar, powers EV fleets and supports the next wave of data infrastructure. When the rhythm is right, the team’s culture shines bright! ✨ And the Japanese HR, IT and comms teams had great rhythm during this recent team-building activity! The session kicked off with a pottery class, where everyone rolled up their sleeves and got their hands messy. Later, they dove into a Taiko (Japanese drum) class 🥁 Powered by the beat of don-don doko-don, the team found their groove and created awesome music 🎶 What a fun way to connect with coworkers!
What happens when you focus on the things that matter most – like happy customers, engaged employees and a culture of innovation? You attract the best customers, the best employees and the best partners, and they drive stronger business outcomes, better solutions and greater impact. The Wall Street Journal has released its ranking of the Top 250 Best Managed Companies of 2024, and we earned an even higher spot on the list this year. Thank you to everyone who contributes to our continued success!
Hispanic/Latin-American Heritage Month has given our teams across the U.S. the opportunity to experience and embrace the dynamic culture of their peers - el sabor Latino! From salsa dancing and cafecito in Indianapolis to an intense domino showdown in Orlando and teaching the Silicon Valley office how to make (and savor) a home-cooked Latin meal, our HOLA employee resource group members have been busy spotlighting their culture to their peers. We also hosted a global webinar where HOLA members discussed the business impact of diverse experiences. In San Francisco, our employees engaged directly with La Casa de las Madres, learning exactly why HOLA chose to donate to the nonprofit organization during their heritage month (for two years in a row!). HOLA also donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Tracy and the Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park this month. HOLA is short for Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership and Advancement - one of our five employee resource groups.
Let's set the tone for an amazing weekend, shall we? Prologis is one of The Wall Street Journal's top 10 companies for employee engagement...but we're the only one that, in Hamid's words, "nobody has heard of." The Wall Street Journal decided to dive deep to uncover the culture of autonomy, innovation and risk-taking that landed our little-known company on their radar for employee engagement, and ultimately, on their list of 250 Best-Managed Companies of 2023, developed by The Drucker Institute. Click this link to read from Hamid Moghadam, Nathaalie Carey, Art Makris, Sarah Rutherford and Jennifer Nelson about how Prologis employees feel trusted and empowered to make their own decisions:
Our teams had an incredible time celebrating PRIDE last month, immersing themselves in activities that celebrated the theme, "Our Pride, Our Prologis." An insightful global panel discussion featured hashtag#PrologisPrideNetwork (PPN) member stories about embracing their identity at Prologis and beyond. Employees created beautiful works of art and learned about the LGBTQIA+ community. Our Tokyo team even welcomed LGBTQIA+ inclusivity expert Ayumu Horikawa to discuss how to be an ally in the workplace! PPN chose to donate to Free Mom Hugs, which advocates for equality for the LGBTQIA+ community by providing resources, education and support at community events. Proud full-circle moment for us: a few months ago we shared about creating an endowed fund for the new Morehouse Real Estate Institute that will expand opportunities for students of color to study real estate and prepare for lucrative careers with top firms in the industry. Last Friday at our San Francisco office, we had the immense pleasure of hosting Dr. Thomas, President of Morehouse College, along with Hodan Hassan, its esteemed Chief Advancement Officer and Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Their discussions with Hamid Moghadam and Nathaalie Carey centered around one key theme - diversifying the pipeline of top-tier talent in commercial real estate. Across the country in Atlanta, future leaders from Morehouse College participated in their first Prologis site visit, led by our East Region leadership team...at the exact same time.
