🚲 Wow! What a response! Our Free Bikes 4 Kidz bike collection day was incredible, and the best one yet. Our community answered the call and donated more than 1,000 bikes. All bikes will be cleaned and repaired by volunteers before going to a child in need. Special thanks to our Providence caregivers, friends and family for volunteering at more than 20 locations in Portland, Oregon and SW Washington. Thank you for helping us improve kids’ lives – one bike at a time!

Congratulations to Jorge Matias, community health worker at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, California, for receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Cal Poly Humboldt. Jorge is one of just 14 individuals in the University's history to receive the honor. 🥇 Jorge helps operate our Paso a Paso program, which provides free health education to our local Hispanic and Latinx communities. Paso a Paso's bilingual staff instructs childbirth education, breastfeeding support, parenting classes, home visits, resource referrals and support groups.
