International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 to commemorate the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women. In celebration of International Women's Day 2022, we recently sent out a short survey to the women of QSC asking a few questions about being a woman in their respective field, their career journey, who/what inspires them, as well as advice they would give to other women seeking a career in their field. The responses we received allowed us to celebrate the experiences and stories of women at QSC, as well as be inspired by their journeys. Kwanzaa (/ˈkwɑːn.zə/) is a celebration held in the United States and in other nations of the African diaspora in the Americas and lasts a week. The celebration honors African heritage in African-American culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a feast and gift-giving. Kwanzaa has seven core principles (Nguzo Saba). It was created by Maulana Karenga and was first celebrated in 1966–67. From all of us here at QSC, we would like to wish all those celebrating around the world, a Happy Kwanzaa!
