This month, we pay tribute to generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America’s history and who continue to play an influential role in its future success. We celebrate the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, especially in the EMS field. We value our AAPI team members and shine a light on their accomplishments across GMR. #AAPIHeritageMonth
Yesterday was National Therapy Animal Day, or as we like to call, GMR Therapy Dog Day. We are thankful to our four-legged team members for the support (and cuteness) they offer our teams!
We welcome President and CEO Nick Loporcaro to our GMR family. Hear from Nick as he talks about his background and shares where his focus will be for his first 90 days.

A great collaboration between two operations in our Global Medical Response organization. A Rural Metro Fire crew from station 857 in Mesa, Arizona led a mountain rescue in Tonto National Forest for a hiker that was bitten by a rattlesnake. Rescue 857 transported the patient to a Med- Trans team that carried the rattlesnake anti-venom and proceeded to transport the patient by air to the hospital. These seamless collaborations between ground and air crews help our patients achieve better outcomes! Please also remember that March is when snakes begin to emerge from their burrows. Always take caution and “don’t put your limbs where your eyes haven’t been” to reduce the odds of being bitten. If you are bit, assume envenomation and call 911immediately! #OneTeam
