Community members enjoyed ice cream and tours of an engine and ambulance, with our youngest visitors receiving balloons, sticker badges and plastic firefighter hats. Knox County, TN hikers will be happy to know our Rural Metro Fire teams have just completed training on new equipment specific to mountain rescues. They receive several calls for injured hikers in the warmer months, so this is great preparation for future calls this year.
