SP+ Military SPotlight Meet Diego, who says, "I was motivated to join the military as a senior in high school during 9/11, which hugely impacted my life. Several friends and I wanted to serve our country, so we enlisted and left for boot camp after graduation. I chose the Army because of its rich history of Military Heroes and offered many incredible opportunities for my future. I was deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, and Korea during my service. My favorite Country was Korea, as I loved the culture, people and food! I have held a few different Military Occupations as a Logistics Officer, Finance Officer and Patriot Missile Operator. So grateful to be supported by my wife, Angela, and our two kids, Sterling and Skylar. My service experience allowed me to relate and communicate with people from all different backgrounds, and I’ve taken those skills into my work with SP+. I also have been able to draw on my leadership experience to lead and motivate my team."

Rob says, “I joined the Army on a whim when I was 17. I chose the Army because my best friend in high school was always interested in the Army. I went to the recruiter with him and decided to give it a try. Good thing it worked out! I visited many, many other countries throughout my service. The majority of my service was spent overseas. My favorite place is Europe, in general. I spent over 12 years there, and I miss it greatly. The most rewarding experience about my service is, far and away, the people I worked with and the Soldiers I had the privilege of leading. I made lifelong friends, and we still keep in touch almost daily. My current role at SP+ gives me a broad reach to tell the Veteran story to employees throughout the company.
