April was a great month over here! We were named a 2022 Baltimore Business Journal Best Places to Work Finalist, hosted our first (finally!) office happy hour, and have had a lot of fun in the Capital One Arena suite for the last Capitals games of the regular season.

The work continues but so does the fun 😎 We've been smack talking through a few group wordle challenges, ate pie on Pi Day, corned beef sandwiches on St. Patrick's Day, showed our employees some appreciation with a popcorn-themed gift box, AND today marks our first official happy hour in 2022!
Towards the end of 2021, Synergist was named a Baltimore Sun Top Workplace for the 5th year in a row! We're so proud of our 7th place finish out of 111 other small companies. We owe this and all the accolades we received in 2021 to our incredibly smart, humble and hard-working employees!
During the holiday last month we collected gently-used and new items, as well as monetary donations, for a local nonprofit called Giving Back: Linda's Legacy. This nonprofit based out of Anne Arundel County serves homeless shelters and communities in the Baltimore, Annapolis and DC areas. We are so grateful to our employees who participated to benefit those in need in our community.
With the increase of COVID cases, we returned to a virtual celebration over the holidays. But never fear! With this crew even virtual Secret Santas are a good time! We opened our surprise gifts and then tried to guess who our secret santa was. Best festive outfit won a coveted Synergist-branded Yeti. Laughs were shared, drinks were had & inside jokes were born. Shout out to our office administrator, Tiffany, who manages to organize all of our events (virtual & in-person) so seamlessly! She's a rockstar!
Another Synergist tradition has returned this year - the annual Thanksgiving Potluck! We enjoyed a feast with catered turkey, ham and dishes crafted by many Synergist chefs. It's always nice to take a short work-breather and catch up with some of our favorite people. Pie is also a plus. The holiday season has officially begun! We're always thankful for this crew.
Exciting news! After 6 years of consecutive nominations, Synergist was awarded 1st place by Baltimore Business Journal for their 2021 Best Places to Work in the medium-sized business category. We could not have achieved this monumental milestone during a year of so much COVID uncertainty without the dedication of our employees. They are what makes us one of Baltimore's best places to work!

COVID has been a strange and challenging time for our Synergist crew as we're used to getting together for happy hours, family outings and company events often. It was great to be together and catching up with faces we haven't seen in a while over some fajitas, drinks and a little smack talk. Fore!
