This month we commemorate the third annual Juneteenth. The day was recognized as a federal holiday in 2021 to mark June 19th, 1865, as the day when enslaved people in Texas were freed, more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. In honor of celebrating and recognizing Juneteenth, we want to share the importance of celebrating and honoring inclusivity within TeamHealth. Since 2020, the Black Cultural Resource Group has acted as a resource for Black colleagues throughout all levels of TeamHealth. The group works to raise awareness and offer a sense of community to Black employees as well as advocating for equity in the Black community at large.
