Big news for The Connor Group! We’ve been recognized as a 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplace, an honor determined entirely by anonymous associate feedback. This recognition belongs to our people. Their commitment, accountability and belief in what we’re building is what makes this place special.
Last week at our National Awards, we had the privilege of recognizing five associates with a promotion to partner. This milestone represents trust, long-term ownership, and a shared commitment to the future of The Connor Group. It’s earned through consistency, leadership and results over time. Congratulations to our newest class of partners on a career-defining achievement!
When something breaks, you call Dave Peacock. When a new associate needs training, you call Dave Peacock. When the sky is falling — well, you still call Dave Peacock. For 15 years, Dave has been a reliable leader behind the scenes, keeping things running across Dayton and Cincinnati. He’s trained hundreds of service associates, volunteered countless hours at Colin’s Lodge, and saved thousands by doing what he does best: finding solutions. He doesn’t look for recognition, but when someone makes this much impact for this long, you celebrate them anyway. Happy 15 years, Dave!
This August, The Connor Group celebrated six months of impact across 16 awards breakfasts in every market and at our Central Support Office. Among the highlights: seven associates earned the company’s highest honor: promotion to partner. Congrats to Krystal, McKinney, Marie, Chrissie, Katie, Brooke and Josh!
Thanks to honest employee feedback, The Connor Group earned national recognition in three Top Workplace Culture Excellence categories: Compensation & Benefits, Leadership and Purpose & Values. In February, employees across the country participated in an anonymous workplace survey through Energage, the organization that partners with USA TODAY’s Top Workplace program. Their responses highlighted what sets our culture apart and put us in the running for even more national recognition later this year. This marks the second major national honor for The Connor Group this year. In addition to the Top Workplace awards, we earned a Gold Stevie Award for Company of the Year – Real Estate (Large) from the American Business Awards for the second consecutive year. From anonymous surveys to national recognition, these awards are a direct result of the people who make The Connor Group what it is. Their feedback didn’t just earn us awards; it helped shape the culture we’re proud to be known for.
Last week, our associates gathered for an unforgettable night at our National Awards Dinner. Promotions to Partner, the Core Value Award, and other accolades took center stage as we highlighted the best of the best. It was a night to honor excellence, passion, and perseverance—the values that define who we are.
We continue to expand our portfolio, and are excited to add this $105 million acquisition to our Denver market.
On April 23, 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, CEO and Managing Partner Larry Connor put actions to two of the company’s Core Values - People Count and Do the Right Thing. In a surprise video broadcast to all of his employees, Larry shared how he had recently made $1.6 Million in the stock market and he was giving every dime of it them as a symbol of his gratitude and appreciation.
Connor Group pilot delivers medical supplies and toys to orphanages in Hurricane-devastated Bahamas The Connor Group is partnering in Hurricane Dorian relief effort in the Bahamas. The company donated the use of its corporate aircraft, and teamed up with Cincinnati-based Matthew 25: Ministries (M25M) – a nonprofit that specializes in disaster relief. Chief Pilot Brett Hunter volunteered to fly M25M relief workers and 30,000 pounds of critical supplies to the Bahamas over a 4-day period. Their first stop was an orphanage in Nassau, designed to hold 20 kids but filled to the brim with 56 – a result of taking in refugee kids from outer islands destroyed by the storm. Hunter and the M25M relief workers then turned their attention to Freeport, which bore the brunt of Dorian’s 185-mile winds and flooding. “We’ll make as many trips as needed to get critical supplies to the people who need them,” said Hunter.
