April saw an incredible 122 members of staff presented with certificates and bottles of Champagne by CEO Andrew Lindsay, in recognition of the successful completion of their probationary periods.
On the evening of 27 September the IT Department hosted their “8-Bit Bash” in Trotters, laying on a feast of pizza, craft beers, 80s movies, and retro video games.

It’s... Blind Date! Choosing Blind Date as their theme for the night, the Sales Team held May’s ‘Drinks with’ event in Trotters, and it went down a storm. With our very own Jacentos Barnett on hosting duties, Kearah Jackson had to choose between Nathan Harris, Shane Crosbie & Aundre Jacobs to join her on a lunch date in Trotters and, after much deliberation, Shane was the lucky man (although we’re yet to hear whether anybody needs to buy a new hat!). After Blind Date had finished it was time for the disco, with our very own DJ AG spinning the wheels of steel, ensuring everyone finished the night on a high note. Thanks go to everyone who helped put on such a great night.
With some help from Simon Finnegan, everyone who attended was treated to a timeless playlist which had been created following suggestions submitted from the second floor, but if people thought they were the only good tunes they were going to be treated to they were very much mistaken, because three of our own homegrown talent stepped up to the mic and belted out some Motown classics. Just when everybody thought the evening couldn’t get any better, we all had an unexpected treat when, thanks to Scott Metherell, Eshan Gopal, star of the smash West End show ‘Motown the musical’ sang a couple of tunes. He was truly amazing and wowed everybody with a final acapella tune that made the hairs on the back of our necks stand on end. Everyone who attended had a great time, and much of the success was down to the ‘all hands on deck’ approach adopted by the second floor, and they definitely did themselves proud.
