During the month of February, we annually recognize and celebrate the achievements of African Americans and honor the significant role and impact they have made on all facets of life and society throughout history. Our team uses this time to reflect and build upon our DE&I efforts. We hope our internal work will inspire external action and forward progress. In 2022, we increased underrepresented groups in leadership roles by more than 50%. We also launched a monthly DE&I newsletter, “The Allied Times”, and held courageous conversations through our DE&I book club. Our newly formed African American & Allies Employee Resource Group (A3) has more than 100 members in it, they led 2022 Juneteenth meetings and formed committees which focus on educating, developing and enhancing the black employee experiences around career, community, commerce, and culture! A3 kicked off 2023 with Martin Luther King Jr. service days. They will also have several activities planned this month to honor and celebrate Black History. We’re looking forward to continued growth, allyship and mentorship.
