This program distributes new toys to help offset costs for families celebrating the holiday season. For our #VeritivExperts series, we spoke with Jevill Yu, Senior Supply Chain Specialist in Shanghai, China who has worked for Veritiv for four years and is responsible for the supply chain management of a large Veritiv customer. “The key to a successful supply chain is to continuously deliver products in a timely manner,” Jevill said. “Due to COVID-19, we have faced many transportation challenges, but we do everything we can for our customers. Veritiv employees from across the United States and Mexico gathered in Atlanta, GA for the first Veritiv Cultural Alliance training! With more than 115 Veritiv locations, our employees work all over the globe – from Alaska, to Mexico, to China. In order to ensure all employees feel engaged and included in our One Team culture, we launched the Veritiv Cultural Alliance, which designates at least one employee per location as a Culture Ally. These 130 Culture Allies spent three days soaking up all-things Veritiv culture, with presentations from Community Relations, DE&I, Talent Management, Corporate Communications, Continuous Process Improvement, and more! Veritiv is participating in an autonomous vehicle pilot program with Uber Freight and Aurora Innovation. The 18-wheeler will be moving Veritiv goods between two of our Texas locations in Carrollton and El Paso. We selected this route as it is an undesirable route for our drivers, because they like to stay local. We are proud to be at the forefront of testing this technology. He oversees Veritiv’s internal and external quality requirements for the packaging industry. “We conduct quality reviews with core suppliers to review metrics, performance, and product quality. Beyond that, we manage the overall customer quality relationship and work closely with customers to fully understand their business needs,” Andrew said. #OneTeam

We are kicking off our Fall 2022 Veritiv Leadership, Engagement and Advanced Development (LEAD) Program. In partnership with UGA Terry College of Business, these leaders are immersed in Business Strategy, Operational and Service Excellence, Leadership Skills Development, and Applied Projects. In addition to the knowledge and skills learned, powerful connections and collaborative relationships are being built. One of the activities planned was for the LEAD cohort to complete 160 comfort kits for the American Red Cross. Each kit includes deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, combs, toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues and more. #NationalSTEMDay inspires children to explore and pursue their interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, half of the workforce are women, but less than a third of women hold jobs in STEM fields.
