This Months's #meetawideorbiter features Kasey McCormick Lyding: My name is Kasey McCormick Lyding, and I have proudly been with WideOrbit for the last 10 years. I am a Senior Manager of Professional Services, leading the WO Network Implementation team. I am deeply fascinated by the media industry and enjoy interacting with our customers, understanding their initiatives, and charting a course for them to achieve their goals. WideOrbit offers a range of rewarding perks and programs that I truly appreciate. One that stands out to me is our sabbatical program, which I have been fortunate enough to participate in twice, and I'm eagerly awaiting my third sabbatical. This program allows me to recharge and avoid burnout, and I believe it has greatly contributed to my professional success here at WideOrbit. I'm also proud to have been part of two recent Learning and Development initiatives, the Management Development Course and the newly launched Mentorship Program.
As Women’s History Month draws to a close, this month's #meetawideorbiter features Toni Coonce, Chief Revenue Officer. Toni joined WideOrbit as an Account Executive in 2006 on the WideOrbit TV sales team, where she stayed for 10 years. She moved into the role of Director of Sales, TV, in 2016, VP of Sales two years later and on into the EVP role prior to being named Chief Revenue Officer. Toni acknowledges that “Broadcasting has traditionally been more male-centric” but does see the industry changing. Leslie Fein, Senior VP, Sourcing, at Comcast NBCUniversal has been an inspiration and through listening and engaging with her has come “to appreciate what a strong female leader and influencer she was.” Susie Hedrick, WideOrbit’s President, and Managing Director of Traffic Systems has been a source of strength and mentorship throughout Toni’s career. She says, “Susie gave me my opportunity to move into executive management at WideOrbit. She put faith in me. She took the risk.” To learn more, visit https://www.linkedin.com/company/wideorbit/posts
This month's #MeetaWideOrbiter features Michele Dingle: My name is Michele Dingle, and I am a Senior Business Analyst at WideOrbit, based in Atlanta, GA. I have been with WideOrbit for just over a year and I am part of the project management team. Whether helping to develop a new design for an enhancement, testing new products, or working on and conducting demos for both internal and external audiences, I help improve the efficiency of our products and spearhead innovation for our WideOrbit clients. My favorite part of being a WideOrbiter is the ability to collaborate with great people, especially my team members. Every person brings a level of expertise, and they are willing to share their knowledge for the betterment of the product and the company. It is a pleasure to work with the many great minds at WideOrbit. I also enjoy WideOrbit’s Think Wider sessions because they allow me to think about what I could do differently in my role at WideOrbit and in my life. The topics are thought-provoking. I gain new insights while discussing what employees feel and think.
Happy New Year from WideOrbit! WideOrbit is committed to providing a healthier workplace that promotes a culture of physical, financial, emotional, and social well-being. In 2022, WideOrbiters had the opportunity to participate in quarterly fitness challenges, financial seminars and self-care webinars. As we begin 2023, we encourage our employees to focus on their wellness and the changes that they can make to live a healthier, well-balanced life.
This month's #meetawideorbiter features Joseph Cortez: I have been at WideOrbit for 11 months as the Learning and Development Manager. I work from my home office in Nashville, TN, which works great for me! I love helping people learn and grow. As an educator, I thoroughly enjoy supporting and assisting people in developing their knowledge base and learning new skills by distilling complex topics into digestible lesson plans. I could not be happier pursuing this passion of mine in my role at WideOrbit. The programs offered to all WideOrbiters are great. I love that we have a Balance and Belonging Committee, and I also greatly enjoy our Think Wider sessions, although some would say I might be biased. The ability to work remotely is another aspect of my career at WideOrbit that I love and is amazing. WideOrbit provides me with a great work life balance, and I love doing activities with my family. Being present with my children outdoors and watching them play soccer, do gymnastics and dance fills up much of my time.
At WideOrbit, we offer our heartfelt appreciation to all veterans for their service. You’ve helped make this world a better place with your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our country. WideOrbit is honored to employ veterans of our nation’s service branches and celebrate our veterans by giving them Veteran’s Day off.
This month's #MeetaWideOrbiter features Lisa Yamamoto: I’m based out of Denver, CO, and pre-Covid, I worked out of the Denver office daily. We’re now in the office a little less, but it’s great to see people face-to-face when we’re all in the office together. I’ve always been fascinated with the television and radio industry and had an internship at a local radio station after college. I then went on to jobs at local broadcast television and regional sports networks. Being on the vendor side of things allows me to still be involved with the industry that I love. I enjoy that no day is ever the same. I’ve been in jobs where it was the same thing day in and day out and WO Program is certainly not that. I’m proud that our team wears many hats and does whatever it takes to ensure that the client is taken care of. I appreciate that WideOrbit cares about its employees’ well-being, whether it’s offering gift cards for getting a flu shot, fitness challenges, etc. I’m also very grateful that WideOrbit allows for a flexible work schedule.
This month's #meetawideorbiter features Lilia Romero: Hello everyone! My name is Lilia Romero, and it is an honor to be spotlighted by WideOrbit. Currently, I'm embracing the Business Analyst role within the Integrations Team, where I assist clients with their third-party integration workflows. Prior to this role, I was a Senior Product Support Specialist for WideOrbit Digital Hub, where I helped clients with solutions for their digital advertising operations. I became part of WideOrbit in May 2014, through the acquisition of Fivia. As a fun fact, I’m an immigrant from Ecuador, and Fivia was my first job here in the USA. I’m currently based out of Newark, New Jersey, and before the pandemic, I worked on-site in the New York office. I very much enjoy working with very skilled, intelligent, thoughtful, friendly, encouraging, and enthusiastic people who are always there for any of us. I'm always impressed by their knowledge and talent. As I explore a new field for me in the media advertising industry, I could not be happier to have the support of my managers and peers to succeed.
WideOrbit is #hiring! Our dynamic, forward-thinking Sales team has a variety of open positions, including Account Executive, Sales Engineer, Sales Director, and Sales Coordinator. Learn more about these Sales roles, and all our open positions, here: http://ow.ly/ecjo50JGShU
This month’s #MeetaWideOrbiter features Francesca Gaillard: My name is Francesca and I’m a senior software engineer. I currently work on back-end infrastructure, developing services and APIs to deliver data on demand. I started at WideOrbit in 2005, did a short stint in a green startup for 2 years, then came back. I’m in San Francisco working remotely from my home in the Sunset District with views of the Pacific Ocean (when there’s no fog). What do I enjoy about working at WideOrbit? I used to joke that it was the nice espresso machine in the café (not the excessive consumption of M&Ms), but the real reason is working with a bunch of genuinely nice people – a very smart, talented, and diverse group. We have nice benefits, including company gatherings that allow people to connect more personally. We also have a Balance and Belonging team, who work to make sure diversity and inclusion are more than just words, so everyone feels welcome and valued, and a Wellness Committee to encourage healthy habits. Outside of work, playing music and spending time with family is important to me.
