      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture in Nov 2011

      Interview

Applied from my university career website and was invited to interview on campus a week later. The first interview was a basic 30 minute resume screening. No in-depth behavioral questions but I was asked to explain some points from my resume. They were looking for genuine interest for the consulting industry and specifically Accenture. I was asked to explain what I would be doing as an SI analyst. I went over the 30 min and was given only a few minutes to ask questions. Regardless, I had a good feeling since the partner who interviewed me began giving me info about the 2nd round. Three days later I received an email informing me I had passed the first round and that my 2nd round interview was the next Friday. Second round was the more "formal" interview. 1:1 with another partner this time. The interview began with the partner explaining his background and experience and then asked me to tell him a little about myself. No worries there. Then he began asking me a series of behavioral questions. Each question seemed to focus on a certain quality i.e. how I handled critical situations, how I reached to mishaps, how I analyze and solve poorly defined problems, how I plan and organize team efforts, etc.. Make sure to focus on key qualities such as working in teams and following up and asking questions. They wan a well rounded person who is capable of leading a team yet while being a strong contributor. I was given about 15 minutes to ask the partner any questions. This is your time to shine. Ask probing questions and show interest. Make sure to tie in your background with the questions. Don't ask typical, "Why do you love your job?" questions. I had a per-written list of questions ready. Some of the questions I was asked doing the interview: 1. Tell me about a time you worked in a team with conflicting viewpoints. What was your role and what did you do? 2. Tell me about a time when you had insufficient resources to get the job done. What happened and what did you do? 3. Tell me about at time you had to collect and organize large amounts of information to complete a project. 4. What was the most complex project you ever worked on? Make sure to follow the STAR method. I received an email three days later congratulation me on passing the 2nd round and asking me a preferred time and date for the final round. The final round consisted of a 3 hours office visit. The first hour was mainly two recent hires going over a powerpoint presentation regarding Accenture. They entertained any questions I had. Then I was escorted to a small office where I met with a senior executive. He was very down to earth and not intimidating at all. This was less formal that the 2nd round but still felt very formal. The first exec. asked about 6 questions similar to the questions from the 2nd round. He kept focusing on different characteristics. I was asked to describe how I had used my engineering background to solve a problem in the real world. I felt he really wanted to know my though process. After about 45 mins I met with another senior exec. and he only asked me four questions. This was primarily focused on "why Accenture?' and why systems integration in general. I was asking most of the questions at this point. Make sure to know the position and company well. There was some lunch provided at the end. Two weeks later I received an offer.

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Accenture (Atlanta, GA)

      Interview

It was a purely behavioral interview, got it as part of college recruiting process. I think that by the time they interview you, they know your resume is fine - so the interview is more of a test on culture fit. This is has since changed - I believe it is a case interview for everyone.

This was a long time ago - but just the typical behavioral questions, nothing too challenging
