I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Accenture in Oct 2009
Interview
I submitted my resume and cover letter through my university career services center, and got a first-round interview. This was fairly surprising, since my background is in biology. The first-round interview was only half an hour long, and consisted primarily of conversation concerning the key points of my resume and what exactly consultants do. The interviewer asked me to tell him how the skills I've developed during my university studies were transferrable to consulting. He also asked what role technology had played in my various experiences, since the interview was for a Systems Integration position. Although the interviewer seemed relatively impressed, I did not move on to the second round.
