I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at BCBG (New York, NY) in Nov 2010
Interview
I applied online and got a call back right away. We set up a interview for the following day. Met with the store manager who was really nice. She asked the usual questions like tell me about yourself, where do you shop, what do you know about our company etc...I was asked to come back for the second interview which was basically to see how I worked on the floor. I went back the following week and worked on the floor for about an hour. The store was pretty slow that day and no one came in to shop, only to browse. I was told that they would get in contact with me the following week because the manager was going away for the weekend and she needed to meet with her boss. Needless to say I didn't get a call back. The sales associates at that location seemed really laid back and cool but that location just seemed like it was too slow for me so I'm not disappointed.
The interview process involved a few in-person meetings, primarily with the store manager. From start to finish, things moved at a good pace — I wasn't left waiting around wondering where things stood. The conversations felt genuine and the overall experience was positive. It was clear they valued my time throughout the process.

Question 1
What was my experience, and why did I want to work there.
They make you try to sell as many clothes as a test - at least for the BCBC Maxazria Outlet in Commerce, California. They had me meet with an associate manager and ask about your previous sales experience.
