Called by contingency recruiter. Met with Hiring Manager over dinner. Casual interview. Asked a lot of questions initially, and gave my perception of their targeted needs and challenges. Hiring manager understands need to reduce turnover in sales ranks, may not have been convinced of the steps that would be necessary to achieve success. Seemed to be more of a controlling manager, although the process currently in place clearly was not delivering. Company appears to have a very strong training progam, but is designed to "churn and burn" candidates, only the strong survive. While I was highly confident that I could bring the structure and processes that would deliver success, we agreed it was probably not a fit.
