I was referred to Hyland Software by a current employee to apply for a Quality Assurance. I first applied online and found the bilingual position (because I am Puerto Rican and fluent in Spanish). Three days later, I got an email saying it was received and under review. A week later, I received another email saying that it was passed onto a hiring manager and a QA departmental supervisor. Another week later, I received an email saying they would like to set up an interview, which included a technical (computer knowledge) test and a interview with a HR staffer. I was told it could take at least 3 hours.
The technical test involved sitting at a laptop connected to another computer which someone watched as I answered their questions on computer basics, i.e. opening a Word document, changing the wallpaper. That last about 30 minutes.
The second interview with a HR staffer involved reviewing my resume and basic questions. She reviewed my resume, asked questions, I answered. This lasted about 30 minutes as well. Then the interview was done.
I referred to the email saying I was told it would take at least 3 hours. She said that is only on hiring days where they do a massive hiring blitz.
About a week later, I got an email saying that despite my great qualifications, they wanted to pursue other candidates.
