What are pay increases like at Adobe?

Can be fully remote, has unlimited PTO, is respectful of work-life balance, and has opportunities to advance in work.

As a contractor, any time off is UNPAID, including holidays and wellness days. You also don't get any benefits such as stock, Adobe swag discounts, Adobe CC subscription discounts, and need to pay for gym membership. Additionally, you're expected to show up for team bonding events but travel and other expenses aren't covered. I also was unlucky with management: current manager is extremely micro-managey, and dangled the opportunity for full-time conversion as if it was a carrot in my face. They also used it to push me to work harder, beyond what the original role responsibilities were. I did content writing, took on content strategy, and was not given a pay raise after two years of working with them. Additionally, everyone else in upper-management is extremely entitled. We're talking about taking unlimited PTO multiple times a month, taking forever to respond to Slack messages, especially when their approval is needed for any content publishing. Sometimes, they don't even respond. When escalated, you're given backlash in a millennial attitude.

Liked people and culture of US and UK&I region. Didn't work directly with other regions, so cannot compare to other regions.

As a freelancer, there was no chance to discuss a salary raise. The rate has been frozen for years and it discouraged the entire team members. Plus, ironically my team leadership didn't understand the cultural and regional resource differences even though the team was dedicated to it. But all the other colleagues I worked with were very professional and nice.

Hard to get promoted/not common. Minimal pay raises. Easy to get pigeon holed or stagnate in one job. Recently, a wave of anxiety about keeping up in the AI market has led to lots of panicked hiring, firing, and questionable/toxic behavior on the marketing side (top-down).

Average salary, sometimes they change targets after you meet them , and dont pay the commissions that you would have earned
