Pros
Weekends off/ expense lunch/ uncapped commission
Cons
Performance Reviews and Job Security: Your first 13 weeks at Aerotek are heavily performance-based, with evaluations from the director. You’ll receive a six-week review with your director and account manager. However, if your account manager doesn’t favor you, it’s advisable to start looking for other opportunities. Racial Discrimination and Favoritism: In my initial four weeks at Aerotek, I experienced racial discrimination and witnessed a candidate being racially profiled, which was met with a mere “I’m sorry that happened” and no further action. As a person of color, I found the environment unwelcoming and hostile. Favoritism is rampant; working from home during the first 13 weeks is only allowed if you’re in the good graces of the management. Recruiting and Work Environment: The job is labor-intensive. Despite recruiting over 30 highly qualified candidates, each with over 20 years of experience, my account manager declined all of them without valid reasons, only to hand those names to other recruiters for commission gains. If you have a disability, be prepared to hear dismissive comments like “do better.” Complaints to human resources are ignored, and no issues are addressed. Daily Routine and Expectations: A typical day starts at 7:50 AM with a “Redzone” meeting to discuss daily goals and achievements. You’re expected to make at least 60 calls, have 8 productive conversations, and book 4 interviews daily. Failure to meet these goals, or a lack of social inclusion, signals it’s time to seek employment elsewhere. There’s a distinct lack of moral support, making it feel more like a call center than a career. Feedback day is garbage. Management and Ethics: Management’s friendliness is superficial, especially in the presence of upper management. You’re expected to lie to new hires and post positive reviews on Glassdoor. Numerous lawsuits for discrimination are testament to the toxic environment (Look it up). The company’s focus is on profits rather than the well-being of contractors. For example, when a contractor passed away, Aerotek’s GoFundMe for the family raised less than $400, despite the contractor’s significant contributions to the company, which earns over $1 billion annually. Conclusion: Aerotek promises endless opportunities and financial gains, but in reality, it’s about who you know, not how hard you work. The culture is one of exploitation and superficiality. For anyone considering a career in recruiting, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. The devil may work hard, but Aerotek’s employees work harder for the same disappointing results.
Pros
This position was one of the easiest positions I’ve ever worked in. I made sure contractors properly clocked in and out for the day and during breaks. Hosted one on one meetings to go over progress and conducted meetings for mediator conflict resolution between contractors. It was very minimal work and most times I just sat at my desk waiting for a break or for a contractor to come let me know they need my assistance for something. Great management experience if you’ve never been in that type of role.
Cons
The pay is minimal for a management position but again it is a good opportunity to get management experience on your resume.
Pros
- The commission was generous, however your base salary was very average compared to other recruitment jobs in BC. Not worth it just based on the commission.
Cons
- NO flexibility - for personal matters, family emergencies, appointments etc - You do not want to ask for time off as they will not allow it. - It's expected that you stay late every day to fill the business, no consideration for employee's well-being or mental state. - NO work from home days - They advertise flexibility and a hybrid schedule but it couldn't be further from the truth. Manager's promise work from home days if you fill a certain amount of roles which is always unattainable, & even if you do attain it, there will be an additional reason as to why you cannot work from home. - Overworked - work 7:30AM - 5:30PM on average most days and if you were seen to be leaving before that time, prepare to be questioned as to where you're going, what you're doing & a reason as to why you cannot cancel your plans to work on the open roles. - Have openly been told by management that they 'do not care what you have going on outside of work', & telling you to 'Figure it out & Cancel any plans as we are all staying late tonight' - No respect for their staff - they just want to work you until you physically & mentally cannot take it any more & are forced to leave. When you do leave there is no follow up message or nice words from any one member of leadership. - Blackmail - they will promise you things if you stay in or hit a certain target but never actually follow through with their promise. - Messaging every day along the lines of 'you will not be successful in life if you do not meet these professional goals'. - You are expected to stop & drop everything to fill a role. You will be told to 'find a solution' if you cannot find a candidates for a role, not provided any help on the recruit or how we can make this work for both sides. - Manager's expect you to bring & share your personal life experiences / circumstances into work and share with the team so they can 'fully understand what's happening in your life', when it is really a tactic to be able to manage your personal life also and ensure your able to give more to the company.
Pros
-i would rather work at a fast food joint
Cons
Do yourself a favor and find a job that will actually value your time and work life balance. Terrible managers and structure will not give you a life outside of work. Worst 2 years of my life. Sadly, the pay will also not be able to cover your therapy bills so best of luck.
Pros
Great managers, coworkers, and good pay at the time for the role.
Cons
Wish the contract could have extended longer.
Pros
Atmosphere is friendly and and extremely helpful
Cons
Some of leadership is not helpful and they only follow their orders, no grey areas and accommodations are hard to get. The compensation could be better for the effort you have to put in to the job. Unless an emergency, you are meant to find your own coverage when requesting time off, supervisors and management do not help.

Pros
If you have no prior experience they will train you albeit not the greatest training unless you go to their corporate offices.
Cons
Very toxic culture, awful account managers that are encouraged to fear monger to get results, very high school clique oriented, lots of internal sleeping around and creepy manager recruiter relationships. If you ever work in Nashville and get a manager by the name of Brad Hernandez. Run fast. This guy is the epitome of a man child frat bro that never grew up. He’s as toxic as they come.
