Does Amgen offer massages?

Pros

It’s a clean work environment.

Cons

I have never felt so unappreciated while working for a company. Upper level management only cares about the remote and desk workers. There is zero room for growth in manufacturing associate. The work environment is very toxic everyone talks bad about one another. Stressful place to work for low pay. New staff with no experience get hired at higher pay rate than current experienced staff is making. They even took away the free coffee.

Advice to Management

Do better

Does Amgen offer dental insurance?

Pros

401k matchimg is very generous. Vacation and time off is great, especially the shutdowns around 4th of July and Christmas. Strive for a work life balance. Decent benefits albeit costly, lots of choices for coverage. Purposeful work.

Cons

High work load and pace of work make it hard to find a work life balance. Ever increasing cost of benefits per pay check, cost of benefits has increased and coverage decreased from what it used to be. This is a large company, over time it has become much more corprate reducing many perks in search of bottom line (not isolated to Amgen, but noticable difference over time). Advancement is slow but there are opportunities if you want them.

Pros

Good maternity leave benefits and decent base salary

Cons

Micromanaging upper management and a company culture full of mistrust. Trackers on company vehicles and major HR investigations that make employees feel like they are criminals when they haven’t done anything at all. Too many conference calls and internal processes get in the way of productive work.
