      How is diversity at Apple?

      Apple reviews

      Stagnant career path

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Employee benefits like wellness, Chiro, dental etc. Company culture in theory is good. Work life balance is good.

      Cons

Don’t expect to earn much there (at most they give market rate for salary) with no AWS, bonuses or commissions (unless you’re in management positions). Promotions are based on diversity, gender or personal relationships with the hiring managers (there is an unspoken diversity quota as well as management positions being majority filled by only caucasians - any local management level opening will be filled from other Caucasian countries). A propaganda bubble where you constantly get reminded of how great the company is, but in reality people there don’t espouse the culture so you’re trapped in this bubble. The HR doesn’t really care about transgressions against company’s policies and it’s all only lip service.

      Pros

Apple has a great company culture and prides itself on diversity and inclusion. This can be seen in the work place extremely often.

      Cons

The pay for interns is extremely low compared to other tech companies.

Great culture and leadership, but juniors need more support

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Apple is full of wonderful, talented people, and the technical leadership is inspiring. The company culture is strong, with a genuine focus on diversity, inclusion, and creating a neurodivergent-friendly workplace. Work/life balance is good, which makes it a sustainable place to grow long-term.

      Cons

Things can feel a bit chaotic at times, with some organizational turbulence. There’s also an overreliance on contractors, which feels like a workaround to Swedish labor protections. Junior employees in particular don’t always receive enough coaching or mentorship, which unfortunately leads to burnout more often than it should.

      Great place to work

      Pros

Incredible culture, leadership development, generous benefits, value on inclusion and diversity. The best place I've ever worked.

      Cons

Low employee turnover means it can be hard to advance as there are many qualified internal candidates for each leadership role. You have to learn to lead yourself and find your own internal motivation to avoid burnout and discouragement. It may be valuable to spend a few years at Apple, get a promotion elsewhere, and then return for a higher leadership position with outside experience. Additionally, as with any role in the service industry, expect to works nights, weekends and holidays. This can make work life balance challenging and you have to be prepared for it.

      Leadership Concerns

      Apple product verification advisor
      Former employee
      Austin, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The company offers excellent benefits and fosters a strong, inclusive culture that supports both personal and professional growth. Their product offerings are well-regarded in the industry, making it a rewarding place to work for those passionate about Apple products.

      Cons

Compensation is below industry standards, and there’s a noticeable lack of diversity within senior leadership, which remains predominantly white. Leadership decisions often seem to be influenced more by personal relationships than by merit or expertise, and many senior managers appear out of touch with the day-to-day challenges teams face. Innovation is stifled, with an excessive focus on administrative tasks like timecard tracking rather than strategic growth or creative solutions. Overall, the environment lacks inclusivity and forward-thinking leadership..

Working at Apple means being at the forefront of technological advancement and contributing to products that shape the future. Impactful Work: Apple's commitment to creating products that improve lives provides employees with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a global scale. From enhancing user experience to advancing sustainability, your work can have a significant effect. Diverse and Inclusive Culture: Apple promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, valuing different perspectives and experiences. This fosters a creative and collaborative work environment where everyone can thrive. Professional Growth: Apple offers numerous opportunities for professional development, including mentorship programs, training, and career advancement. Employees are encouraged to continuously learn and grow within the company.

      Cons

High Expectations and Pressure: Apple is known for its high standards and ambitious goals, which can lead to a demanding work environment. Employees might face significant pressure to meet tight deadlines and achieve excellence. Intense Competition: The competitive nature of the company can create a high-pressure atmosphere. Employees often work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, which can be both inspiring and daunting. Long Hours: Depending on the role and department, long hours may be required. This can impact work-life balance and personal time. Corporate Culture: Apple’s corporate culture is highly driven and performance-oriented, which might not suit everyone. The emphasis on innovation and results can sometimes overshadow personal and professional development. Secretive Environment: Apple’s emphasis on secrecy regarding product development and internal processes can sometimes lead to a lack of transparency and difficulty in understanding broader company goals.

      Pros

Why It’s a Solid Job: ✅ Pay & Benefits – Apple’s pay is decent for retail, and the stock options, discounts, and healthcare are better than most jobs at this level. ✅ Looks Good on a Resume – Working at Apple carries weight, especially in tech or customer-facing roles. ✅ You’re Learning Transferable Skills – Troubleshooting, logistics, teamwork, and even stepping in for a Technology & Merchandising Pro add real experience for IT, sales, or operations roles. ✅ Some Growth Potential – If you stick with it and play the corporate game, you could move into higher positions (but it’s slow).

      Cons

⚠️ Fast-Paced & High Pressure – Can feel overwhelming at times. ⚠️ Inconsistent Scheduling – Retail hours can be unpredictable. ⚠️ Advancement Can Be Slow & Competitive – Moving up takes time unless you’re actively networking. ⚠️ Workload Can Be Heavy – Especially during product launches and holiday seasons. ⚠️ DEI Prioritization in Hiring/Promotions – Promotions often favor diversity hiring initiatives over tenure or performance.

      Pros

Working at Apple is very unique in its own way with lots of diversity and support. Every day is different and there's a lot of learn

      Cons

Pay is minimum against the amount of work expected to be done. Store is micromanaged with a lot of politics like any work place. Growth is minimum as there's so many people working there but putting in barely any effort.

      Pros

he team you work with is amazing, the people around you are smart and caring. Opportunities to learn from a great company and grow your own skills as well as position yourself to move upward with a lot of opportunities to advance your career, or grow personally. It helped me build confidence in speaking as well as work on my public speaking ability. It helps you understand customer interaction, if you will be in the Tech space, start here, you learn a lot and they train you for free. There are/were many things that are great about Apple Retail. It's a great 1st time job and you'll make some of your best and greatest friends there. Health benefits can be hit or miss, but over all benefit package isn't so bad.

      Cons

Don't get stuck working in retail for 10 years or more, unless you are happy with what you do and content with the space you're in. Was a great job in 2017, and after pandemic or so, the care for the customers that we were told to have was de-prioritized and focus shifted from being supportive and customer focused to ... something else. Work schedule did not allow for a good work-life balance, never got requested days off, even with 4 weeks advance notice. The team you work with is amazing, the people around you are smart and caring. If you can keep your head down and plow through your work keeping your emotional and mental healthy aside, it could be a great fit for you. Try to work up to corporate and not store front/retail/Genius Bar if you can. Diversity is concentrated in the retail space, as you move up in ranks such as store/district managers/regional managers and higher up, it certainly is not focusing on diversity, it appears to be what you think it would be.

      Cons

From my experience as a vendor for this company, the best projects are outsourced and the corporate nature limits creativity
