What is the retirement plan like at Box?

Great wlb, great people to work with. Team selection is important, great opportunities overall in some core teams

No 401k match, work pace slower than many other companies

Benefits except 401k lack of matching and pay is on par with market

No raises, no promotions unless you are in office, sales drives everything and all other departments are treated like less than equal "assistants" at best. "We all are sales" is the motto but they do not compensate the other teams for selling but holds them accountable for missing metrics.

Great resources for employees to do their best work, strong platform for many use cases and productivity, transparent communication from leadership, amazing company culture that allows Boxers to feel part of the business impact, clear goals and career bands!

I can't think of any at this time, however, the no 401k match is a bit unfortunately but there are other ways to maximize your finances through strong compensation, espp, and robust benefits.

Great product to be selling, very much a startup feel, in a good way. Everyone is kind, hungry, and focused on success. The culture is not yet cut throat or leveraging fear to drive productivity. Rather the culture is one of ongoing success and very supportive.

-Communication: leadership is rapidly losing touch with the employee experience, and what the needs and pain points of their teams are. Box really suffers from a situation of "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." Even within GTM, teams which work together every day don't communicate, and their respective leaders aren't on the same page -Unclear strategy: leadership is pushing to move at a faster and faster pace, without reflecting on what is an isn't working. Employees are being asked to do more work, while not receiving better pay or benefits, and satisfaction is dropping fast -Lack of advancement opportunity: promotions move incredibly slowly, as does compensation - pay is decently benchmarked, but lagging behind the industry -Required 3x a week in-office, even though a poll of the company showed the majority of workers would prefer otherwise, an old-fashioned mindset

Box has a company culture where everyone here genuinely cares about each other. It is all about collaboration, a positive atmosphere where ideas can flourish and you can drive impact no matter your role or seniority. The founder led aspect and the passion definitely come through.
