Pros
You’ll have one genuinely honest and supportive conversation there…. during your exit interview.
Cons
They have truly mastered the art of making talented people feel like they’re never doing enough. Every day is another race to hit unrealistic metrics while leadership delivers motivational speeches that somehow make morale even worse. They make this place seem like the best place to work on earth especially when candidates come in for interviews, when in reality it’s all stress and depression behind closed doors. You’re told you’re valued, but it quickly becomes obvious your worth is tied almost exclusively to whatever number appears next to your name that week on a brag slide show, during a weekly meeting where the same “top perfomers” speak about the same recycled advice every single week that nobody listens to because it’s not helpful at all. You will also walk away with zero consultative sales skills as an sdr because this job isnt even real sales it’s just harassing people to get them to answer the phone and straight up lying to them to hit an insanely high quota. There literally aren’t even enough business days in the month to hit goal without cheating it’s honestly diabolical. It’s the name type of mess on the AE side but worse, they push you to finish your sdr career as soon as possible so you can be promoted into a role with even more depression and less work life balance it’s honestly hilarious. The suspiciously enthusiastic five-star reviews talking about the “amazing culture.” and “growth opportunity” really isn’t fooling anybody especially with having a turnover rate that high. If you are in the interview process or received an offer and are debating on whether to go there, just don’t. That first post grad job high will wear off in like 2 weeks max and by month 3 you will have lost your will to live and by then you’ll already be a shell of a human and not even realize it.

Pros
BrightEdge is a great place to start your career and there are so many opportunities to learn and grow. Managment is very invested in you and genuinely cares about your success If you do well you will make a lot of money Amazing coworkers
Cons
High expectations and can be stressful at times
Pros
I started out as a SDR back in 2013 and one of the main reasons I stayed for almost 11 years was that I was given clear and transparent details around promotion paths. From day one I knew exactly how I could go from SDR to Sr AE to Frontline Management. Performance of course will always be priority #1 but the company has done a fantastic job creating paths for people to grow. The platform is amazing as well. Can’t count how many demos I have but over the 10 years, I don’t think anyone ever said “this doesn’t meet my expectations of an Enterprise Platform”. I truly enjoyed every call and believe my customers and prospects did as well My last year in 2023 saw so major advancements that widened the gap against the ent competition
Cons
I only had about 10 bad days out of 10+ years so cannot complain about anything. When I see comments in the Con section, maybe there was misalignment on expectations around the role which led to a bad experience or hiring was off.
Pros
Very good product. Good location
Cons
Under developed career / progression plan
Pros
- Remote work opportunity Nothing else
Cons
No opportunities for learning, excessively long working hours, and poor management. A workplace filled with office politics and extreme micromanagement. Lack of clear direction; they are unsure of what they want. Employees are hired for six months only to be let go afterward. A completely toxic work environment. You may be hired for a front-end role but end up working on a PHP project. DON"T EVER JOIN THIS COMPANY ELSE YOU WILL DEPRESSED AND IT IS A CAREER SPOIL NOTHING MUCH
Pros
Elite product that is industry leading. Cold calling is a difficult job but selling this product makes cold calling easy and people listen on the other end of the line when you say BrightEdge. Training program at BrightEdge fosters success from day 1. At the beginning, you are immersed into the day to day environment of the company all while learning the ins and outs of the industry, hands on with the tool, learning scripts, how to handle objections and cold call at an elite level. So many people hit the ground running here and was fortunate to have BrightEdge as a foundation of my professional and sales career. Some of the things I learned here from day 1 and from my last day at the company I will carry with me for the remainder of my career. Culture is phenomenal, every person in the Chicago office looks out for one another and pushes you to be your best day after day. Everyone gets along and is accepting of one another, I have made lifelong friends at BrightEdge all while hitting my numbers, working hard, and making great money as an entry level sales rep. From 8-5 everyone in the office is locked in and grinding to hit their numbers and helping others do the same. On top of that, it is a fun environment where it makes coming into the office a luxury instead of a chore. I learned an incredible amount from sitting next to my peers and sitting next to leadership and taking advice from them and putting it into action on the salesfloor. Pay for an entry level role is 2nd to none. If you come in everyday with a drive and determination to hit your numbers it is impossible to fail with the resources you and guidance you receive along the way. Hit your numbers and you will make a ton of commission + base pay + overtime. This made it extremely easy to live in the city and live comfortably. Finally, senior leadership has a strong investment in their people and genuinely will do whatever it takes to help you advance your career. Perfect place to start your career, learn a ton about the tech space, make a bunch of money, gain valuable sales experience, and network!
Cons
Young company with growing pains but always open to hearing suggestions on the betterment of the company/office.
Pros
Training and development for someone like me has been excellent so new in my career
Cons
Right now, no complaints. Hours are long but worth it if you want to make something of yourself
