Does Flight Centre Travel Group offer massages?

Pros

Flight Centre provide brilliant training, giving a solid foundation to then build on in store. There is also great social events with plenty of free drinks on offer. Career development is encouraged.

Cons

No work/life balance. There is far too much pressure to make targets. No set mark up on ticket prices leads to questioning your own morals, sizing customers up to work out how much you can make out of them. Super long hours to try to meet targets - I worked so much unpaid overtime preparing quotes for clients who then decided to book online. This led to a lack of job satisfaction, putting hours into quotes/proposals for customers who either aren't interested in actually booking, or ghost you. We also had to cold call clients who hadn't been in store for a while, which was never pleasant.

Advice to Management

Better support your staff. Don't circulate regional emails naming staff who were not meeting their targets - motivation through embarrassment isn't a strong technique. Assign a set markup percentage, rather than leave it to the discretion of of your staff - this is poor practice and leads to your customers being ripped off, as pressure to meet targets leads to consultants trying to mark up by whatever they can get away with, rather than what is fair. Despite 'profit we are proud of' being promoted, pressure to meet targets undermines this and encourages the opposite.

There is also great social events with plenty of free drinks on offer.

Does Flight Centre Travel Group offer dental insurance?

Pros

Great pay, amazing discounts, health plan (free dental and contact lenses), perkbox which gives free coffee, cinema tickets, discounts etc, decent holiday pay, incredible share scheme. I dont think i have worked anywhere with better perks.

Cons

Systems have constant issues but they are working on this (I hope!) When it is busy, you definitely do more than your contracted hours (but then again, you make more money!!)

Advice to Management

Definitely push for this new 'admin team' so the sales people can do what they do best!

Does Flight Centre Travel Group offer family leave?

Pros

Worked with such a great team. I would always hold them close to my heart.

Cons

The company does not have your back as an employee. After working so hard during covid 19, they made me redundant the day i left for my maternity leave and did not give me my 6 weeks benefit even though they told me it would not get affected! I would not recommend working there at all!!! You give all your time, effort and blood to the company and what do you get in return?? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Advice to Management

Keep your word to your people next time!
