      Pros

Pay is average but clients depending on your department can be fun to work with and a great start point if your looking to get into tech

      Cons

you'll get to a point during your career here where you hit a vertical road block upper management isn't really there to make impacts on the business they will inform you to ask your clients the tough questions to get your sales .. ask them a tough question they'll give you a long dialog till they completely forget what your question is aka push it to the side . implement new procedures but so out of the loop with the rep daily life that their procedures make absolutely no sense creates more work benefits certain reps and terrible for customer experience .. pretty much the management are there to hold on to their positions its all about job security rather than creating streamline process.. also never had a positon where you a still held accountable for your daily quota when you are on scheduled vacation your daily rev of 4k x days of vacation extremely hard to cut that deficient cause you are graded YTD

      Pros

The hiring process at GoDaddy is structured and professional. It begins with an initial call from HR to discuss the role, expectations, and overall fit. This is followed by four rounds of interviews focused on technical skills and system design, each conducted by knowledgeable and approachable interviewers. The final stage involves a discussion with HR to go over the offer, compensation details, and answer any remaining questions. Communication throughout is clear and timely, making the experience smooth and engaging.

      Cons

The overall process took more than a month.

      Pros

The team and culture are outstanding. You're surrounded by talented, collaborative people who are always willing to help. One of the core values is that there's no internal competition—our focus is on excelling together and competing only with what's outside. This creates a genuinely supportive and inspiring work environment. The work-life balance is excellent, and the compensation package is very competitive. The company is fully remote in Colombia, and they make sure you're well-equipped from day one. You receive everything you need to do your best work, including a MacBook Pro, 4K monitor, Magic Mouse, and Magic Keyboard. Overall, it's been a fantastic experience for me, and I would absolutely recommend it.

      Cons

The onboarding process could be more structured—my first few weeks were a bit slow due to a lack of clarity around tasks and expectations. There’s definitely room to improve in helping new hires ramp up more quickly. You’ll occasionally need to adjust your hours to collaborate effectively across time zones.

Not Good for Top Sales Performers

      Pros

      - Nice commission pay during training (4 figure commissions) - If your good at sales, you'll do decent enough

      Cons

      - Good ole boys club - Don't be "too good", its not really a safe space for top performers - Volatile... they had a hiring class in, after 3 months fired - Promotes the idea of 6 figure capability, but it comes with a lot of hoops and a lot of hands in the pot regarding your commission checks - Top performers I would not recommend, sounds good but in the end its not safe and there are a lot of people who will be intimidated by your success - Your wont get credit for sales tactics and skills you bring to the company, your manager will more than likely claim them as their own ideas - New DOS who came from a major credit card company, commissions have dropped significantly - You used to have a lot of autonomy in how you sold, now it's pretty much a call center with a script - Recently people who have been with the company 7+ years have quit - Payments department has not been profitable for 3+ years so they are tightening up commissions, more loopholes, more checkpoints to get paid

      Pros

      - The codebase is complex so the job will keep you challenged - Mentorship available from lots of industry veterans with a Master's or PhD in their field of engineering - Fun company swag arrives every now and then - Fun year-end parties and team building events - Great benefits (they pay for Udemy courses if you are upskilling and for any certifications like AWS Solutions Architect etc.) and decent work-life-balance based on your team and manager (some teams may lack on the WLB side, while some teams have a lot of it)

      Cons

      - Some teams are major bottlenecks in getting things done and will slow you down by asking you to get approvals which can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 2 months sometimes

Working from home and moderate employee benefits.

      Cons

From very my first interaction with GoDaddy, and throughout my entire two years of employment, the consistency of disinformation never stopped. During the initial hiring process , I was lead to believe my position would be a sales centric role proving quality products, with uncapped commissions, minimal IT work, with an emphasis on PTO that was available at any time; this could not have been further from the truth. A normal day consist of taking 30-60 calls, 90% of which are severely disgruntled business owners having issues with their products who are generally hung out to dry by the "solutions" available. In the same act you are expected to up sale customers, as this accounts for a majority of the revenue produced. A heavy percentage of these sales are for low quality products that the customer does not need and in a lot of cases, causes more problems for their business. Managers will specifically tell you verbatim how to word falsities for specific products so the consumer believes the purchase is essential. It does not feel good to knowingly scam your way to quota every single week. If you fail to exceed quota consistently, you are then subjected to a shift change which happens every six months, for the entire department. Management shuffles the higher grossing employees to more relaxed shifts, with comfortable hours and lengthier breaks, opposed to the lower tiers who are designated with extremely awkward hours and minimal break time. Commissions are capped, giving literally no incentives once you meet the limit. When a top producer for the entire company addressed his concerns a for the capped commissions in a meeting he was told and I quote "to seek opportunities else where if not satisfied". The PTO is a joke, you are in a department of over two hundred people, in which you are expected to abide by a maximum of 40 hours PTO for a given day. Each shift consist of 8-10 hours, meaning only 4-5 people out of the entire department are allowed to use PTO for that day. Due to this you are expected to schedule PTO 2-3 months in advance with a convoluted automated call out system. PTO is only made available 90 days in advance, making it super difficult in the summer and holiday seasons to get any time off for vacation. This job is draining, degrading and low paying. This company reeks of corporate greed and I recommend anyone who wants somewhat of a fulfilling job to seek opportunities else where.
