      Pros

      - some programs are really cool to work on

      Cons

      - raise and bonus are not that great

      Overall positive

      Operations leadership development program (oldp)
      Former employee
      Denver, CO

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      - Natural networking events in-place. Part of a cohort and easier to connect with other LM employees across all sites. - Better tuition reimbursement policy compared to non-LDP employees - Finding roles post OLDP is typically pretty easy for those looking to stay in ops.

      Cons

      - Promotion/Salary raises being compared to via other LDPs instead of general population. You are being compared to the "best of the best," and a top performer will only be marginally rewarded with an extra 1.5% bonus compared to the bottom-most performer. - Performance reviews being completed by OLDP managers who are not always plugged into what you're doing on a daily basis and cannot vouch for you on a true level. - OLDP Corporate business projects that don't truly amount to much - Corporate politics

      Stable but Annoying

      Design engineer
      Current employee
      Sunnyvale, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

A lot of stability, they do want you to stay there forever. The people surrounding you have been there either a few years or 40 which means there is a ton of expertise. Everyone is generally very kind and polite. The resources and facilities are huge, as well as their knowledge base. The best part is the flexible hours. 40 hours in a week and basically whenever you want. It would be hard to revert back to working on Fridays now.

      Cons

It is strange when they announce we achieved billions in profits but we only got 95% of our bonus because some department didn't meet their deliverables, even though the rest of us did. When we asked what was our incentive then to work harder they told us it was an honor and privilege to be an engineer and we should have an intrinsic satisfaction in just doing a good job. Also the bureaucracy of the company is staggering, it is difficult to complete almost any task without jumping through hoops.

      Pros

Good salary and 401k match. Interesting projects.

      Cons

Decent bonus and other benefits like health insurance. However, it is still much better than other defense contractors.

      Not good for certain contracts

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Great Benefits and 401k matching. Good starting salary. Beneficial for career growth within the same company or field.

      Cons

Not great with bonuses, pay increases, or matching industry standards when it comes to contractors. Slow to enact change where needed.
